Another day, another year and yes – another fucking website (this time more fucking than any of the others!). Where the hell did 2009 go, anyway?

In the wee days of January 2010 I sit back and leaf through the yet, still unchanging pages of my latest accomplishment: this website. Simultaneously I work hard to take inventory the milestones and endeavors of 2009. I feel guilty and a little bit lost when I realize now, more than ever before, I struggle to really amass much of anything from the previous 365 or so days.

It’s not to say I feel as though I haven’t done anything . . . mostly I just feel like I haven’t done much of anything worth mentioning. Don’t misunderstand me! This doesn’t make me sad. Just a little bit annoyed that I don’t have this beautifully vast repertoire of experiences and observations to pull from at the very moment when I should have something to actually contribute.

Maybe it’s Twitter. Yeah, it’s most likely Twitter. Not to point fingers or anything like that! But day in, and day out looking for something, all day long, that is both witty, funny and insightful to put out into the twitterverse- that sure does take a lot out of you. It’s like unraveling a spool of thread that already isn’t very big to begin with.

Do you ever get to a point in your life where . . . at that very moment and time in space, you feel as though that’s it? There isn’t any more? Well, I’m on the verge of reaching that point. Mostly because, frankly, I’ve been on 4th gear and neutral at the same time and my metaphorical transmission is about due to be replaced.

This is why the website here couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s either going to revitalize me or make me run screaming from the limelight and the world of the adult genre like a crazy person running from a bird, or a bat, that isn’t actually there at all.

I’ve missed what feels like almost a whole year of shared feelings, experiences and observations. I’m working to get back to it all because I know it’s a place of sanity and perspective. A place I’ve practically abandoned in the last year.

What to say on this second blog entry for The New Brent Corrigan? I can’t very well just post a picture of my ass, like this one:

And expect that to be one of those ’nuff said things. We’ve all seen my butt. Get over it. Move on. Old news

No, I’m not done with it either. And let’s hope, for the sake of my sanity, clarity and future in the adult genre (and entertainment, really, if you think about it) that you’re not done with it either.

On the subject of old news vs. new news: If you have signed up for a VIP Membership to The New Brent Corrigan you’ve probably already noticed much of what is available is from Just the Sex, Big Easy and other Brent Corrigan productions from the last few short years. While I do recognize this is asking a lot of my loyal followers: please hold tight and stick with it. There is fresh work in the pipeline. What I do have now are unseen galleries from the past few years that have never been released in entirety. Then of course there are the webcam shows due to begin January 30th, 2010. It’s not as if EVERYTHING is old. There are some brand new scenes to supplement.

Unfortunately, now that I have broken from my previous business arrangements – producing and filming all new work is going to be a reality only with the success of this new website. I will make clear, however, that my friendship and working connection with Dink Flamingo from Active Duty and Dirty Bird Pictures is intact. As my focus this last year has turned to embarking on my journey without the hangers and added drag of a now former business partner, with the success of this website I will be able to move along and show more for the time, energy and personal image I invest in the projects I produce. I’ve also devoted more time to writing a book and developing myself in mainstream circles.

I took a 10 day trip to Cardiff and London that was primarily mainstream in nature. I’ve been taking acting classes and studying as any serious hopeful actor would. Then there’s the book, due for release by the end of Spring 2010. All things that have occupied my time, quietly and discreetly for the moment when they are ripe and juicy for the sharing.

It’s all about timing. If you wonder why I don’t let on to things as they develop, it’s not because I’m not thinking about you. I’m thinking about their success and the hope you will enjoy them. And success can be severely diminished if things aren’t timed adequately enough.

Ok, so 2009 feels a little bit like a wash. It was a year to regroup and set the stage for a successful, fast-paced 2010. More of everything. And subsequently: more things to say on the blog! Unlike this time, when I’m going to link you into a Gaydar Interview I did when I was back in Cardiff in October. Still good shit. Happy New Year!
