San Diego ZOO!

Sharing is caring! Sometimes I do normal things, like go to the zoo with my boyfriend. Papi and I went here in San Diego; which is world renowned. They just renovated a 7 acre elephant complex (but none of the pictures we took with the real ‘phants were any good).
Not surprisingly my favorite was the Zebras. They were very curious of us on this visit and I got to pet one of the stallions! They had two males and two females in the enclosure. These are Grevy’s Zebras. It is believed that there are only 2,200 left in the wild today. They’re losing out to humans in the competition for their land. The zebras are being crowded out of their grazing habitat by livestock. Furthermore, irrigation for farming is draining water from their land, and they are competing for water with livestock at waterholes, both of which are leaving them with less to drink. Not to mention, domesticated animals have introduced diseases that have further plagued the species. I’ve always fantasized about having a herd of zebras on my front lawn of my compound when I’m old, gray and retired. I suppose that doesn’t help much with rehabilitating their numbers in their natural habitat. Probably not a real possibility, but a boy can dream, can’t he? Did you know that if you breed a zebra with a horse the offspring’s stripes come out the color of the horse it was sired from?
It was a beautiful, pleasant afternoon here in San Diego. Today we’re off to the Japanese Friendship Garden and the Art Museums. They are all free entry this Tuesday! I’ll take pictures with my new camera. We used the small snapshot for these pictures. The ones we take today should be considerably better in quality.

Aw, they’re so cute. Have you been watching that show Life? Makes me want to donate even more to TNC (cuz I wouldn’t know what I could do to help phisycally). I didn’t know that about the zebras and horses. Isn’t that wrong tho? To mix them like that?

Paul looks great but you look tired buddy. Like there is something on your mind. Been to that zoo twice. Once with DeWayne on my first visit years ago and last summer with my son Donald. I think that Zebra is a friend of mine.

I think that Zebra is a friend of mine but it is very hard to tell. With, Zebra’s, things are not as black and white as one would expect.
Need to go and see what they did to the Elephant enclosure, I heard from Paul you two missed the Tigers that day (they have a stunning River Environment)

I can’t help it. Both DeWayne and my avatars here are from our first weekend together and from the San Diego Zoo. DeWayne’s is from the tigger display (see his link) and mine is up near the Gorilla display at ‘Albert’s Restaurant,’ seriously. Over four years old now. DeWayne took my picture and I took his. Niether of us planned to use them over four years later but why not. We met on Brent’s log.
4 years? wow thought it was 07 (the zoo trip)

anyway….zoo’s fun right? maybe i’ll go visit San Deigo someday…
and please don’t be mad ok? but….em….i saw a photo(a gif.) in which you’re in a position of …kind of look like bondage but i guess you were not. you know…you were like sitting near a door…and there is this a white…rope-looking thing hanging on the door and you were sitting with your hands behind your back how can i put it…but anyway, you looked as if you were in bondage. Can’t tell why…but you look so hot in that position…maybe think of doing some bondage scene? i know you hate s&m and stuff…but …you look good in bondage…And please don’t be mad at my trying to talk you into oing sm scenes….
