Brent Corrigan's Freshmen Photo Shoot

Mick Hicks - "There seems to be some discussion in regards to the Brent Corrigan cover of Freshmen magazine picturing Brent on a small rocking horse. In a letter to the editor of Freshmen, a concerned fan complained that the cover was an attempt to show kiddy porn and would give the conservative right more ammunition to use against us in the fight for equality. As the photographer who took the photograph I can assure everyone that kiddy porn was the farthest thing from my mind at the time. It never occurred to me that the photograph would be thought of as something demeaning or controversial. In fact, the rocking horse belongs to Brent and was his when he was a young boy. He owns and ride horses and has always had a love for them. It just seemed appropriate to put him on the horse that he rode when he was a young kid. If your mind immediately goes to kiddy porn then you need to get your mind out of the gutter and into the age of consent."
